Responsibilities of Skilled Masons Needed
- Bricklaying and Masonry Work: Execute skilled masonry work, including bricklaying, concrete finishing, and blockwork, to construct and repair structures.
- Reading Blueprints: Interpret architectural drawings, sketches, and specifications to determine the layout and materials required for a project.
- Material Selection: Choose appropriate materials and ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
- Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and smoothing, taking into account the type of material being used.
- Mortar Mixing: Prepare and apply mortar or other adhesives for masonry work, ensuring proper consistency.
- Cutting and Shaping: Use hand and power tools to cut and shape bricks, stones, or concrete blocks to the required size.
- Joint Finishing: Finish joints between bricks or concrete blocks using the appropriate tools and techniques.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other construction professionals, such as architects and contractors, to ensure project goals are met.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations, promoting a secure work environment.
- Tool Maintenance: Maintain and clean tools and equipment regularly, reporting any issues promptly.
Requirements of Skilled Masons Needed
- Masonry certification or apprenticeship is a plus.
- Able to speak English.
- Proven experience as a Mason.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
